He served at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as Commissioner from December 2018 and later as Chairman from August 2019 to December 2022. During his tenure, he contributed to major national economic and policy forums, including the Economic Coordination Committee, Cabinet Committee on Privatization, and Capital Market Advisory Council.
His work at SECP focused on regulatory modernization, digital transformation, capital market development, insurance sector reform, and strengthening Pakistan’s non-bank financial sector framework.
